As most of our previous clients know, safety has an extremely important emphasis on our rides in the daily pre-ride briefing, evening briefing and most other occasions where Phil addresses the group. Here is one of a series of safety tips from Phil.
 
When bunch riding, sit close behind but to the left or right of the wheel in front.
Cycling in a bunch is good fun and a great skill to learn however it can be dangerous. When you are in a bunch it is important to get close to the cyclist in front however keep your front wheel slightly to the left or right of the rear wheel of the rider in front. This will give you a fraction of a second longer to react if anything goes wrong ahead of you. It may just be enough extra time that you need to avoid an injury or fall.
