Well we are back in Melbourne, arriving on Friday morning with a little bit of jet-lag but still managed to run 25km on Saturday morning and 27km on Sunday morning – each day starting at 5am when the temperature was 2 deg! A stark contrast to the European summer.

On Saturday I had a banana and some bread for breakfast, then at 15km had another banana which was a bit hard and stopped me running properly as it stuck in my tummy. Also had a tight left calf muscle.

Sunday I was fine but did get tired after about 20km. Continued to run, although slow, and managed to make it home. All in all I felt good so I will try to increase my distance to 35km by the middle of the month with a few 10km runs in-between.
