Looking for work in the bicycle tour industry? We are always on the lookout for bright, energetic and hard-working people to join our tour crew as Tour Leaders and/or Mechanics.
You may be out on tour 2-10 times in a year for a period of 4-30 days at a time. We are flexible in the arrangements, however you must commit to tours once scheduled. This is a great opportunity for individuals (or even a couple) with a flexible work-life balance, possibly semi-retired or wanting to dial down full-time work commitments, or those with other seasonal work.
Experience in the following is desirable but we are happy to train the right person:
Competent bike mechanical knowledge (bike mechanic experience desirable but not essential)
Experience driving manual vehicles and backing trailers
Excellent navigational skills
Leading groups of people
First aid qualified (can be arranged)
Passenger vehicle driver accreditation (can be arranged)
Flexibility - the work is seasonal so you’ll need to be available when required
Physically fit and capable of lifting luggage, bikes and equipment
Generally our crew are driving vehicles as we don’t have a cycling guide on most tours, so we look out for careful, skilful drivers. Your days on tour will be busy but it is a very rewarding adventure, always meeting interesting new people, seeing new places and most of all providing a premium quality product to your customers which is always appreciated by both the customer and your fellow crew.
